Former Arsenal of the Syniavsky family, formerly also the Baworowski Library-Museum (1639 - arsenal building, architect P. Grodzicki; 1830-1840s - reconstruction into a palace, architect I. Chambrez). The building's style is classicism. The layout structure of the 17th-century defensive structure. The interior features preserved relief compositions on themes from ancient mythology (sculptor Johann Schimzer). Today (2008) it is a department of the V. Stefanyk Lviv Scientific Library.
Architecture
A detached building located on the corner of Bibliotechna and Doroshenka Streets, on a hillside. The house is brick, plastered, two-story, with a basement, rectangular in plan, elongated from south to north.
The facades are divided by pilasters and topped with a developed entablature. The basement is faced with stone. The windows have profiled frames. In front of the end facade, there is a terrace with a balustrade on the basement, above which there is a bay window. In the center of the eastern facade, there is a columned portico with a pediment, in the niche of which there is a sculpture of a horse by J. Shimzer (1840s). Two entrances lead to the house from Bibliotechna Street.
The interior layout is of the enfilade type. The interior features preserved relief compositions on themes from ancient mythology (by J. Shimzer).
