Vul. Bandery, 25 – residential building ID: 1032

Residential building (1887), located in the perimeter development of the street. Built according to the design of architect Andrzej Goląb for owner Berish Wolf Hausman. On September 18, 1887, the magistrate issued a permit for the building to be occupied. The design of the shop windows on the first floor, approved on July 30, 1907, was carried out by architect Ivan Levynsky.

Architecture

Built in the historicist style. Three-story, brick, plastered, complex in layout. Sectional interior layout. The composition of the main facade is symmetrical, with two slightly recessed side sections. The facade walls are rusticated, with a profiled string course between the first and second floors. There are display windows on the first floor. The windows on the second floor are decorated with triangular pediments, and the cantilevered sections have a common triangular pediment. There are baluster inserts under the windows on the second floor. The windows on the third floor have profiled frames with console-shaped locks decorated with lion's head mascarons. The facade is topped with a profiled cornice with brackets, rows of Ionic capitals, and corbels.

People

Ivan Levynskyi – One of the most renowned architects of Habsburg Lviv, entrepreneur, one of the largest employers of his time in the city. His firm was involved in the construction and renovation of countless structures throughout Lviv and the region. Professor at the Higher Technical School, an active public figure associated with the Ukrainian People's Movement.
