About the Platform

Інтерактивний Львів — це цифрова енциклопедія про місто та його минуле. Його головною ідеєю є вивчення та представлення історії міста через місця та простори.
Із 2007 року проект підготував понад тисячу текстів про історію будівель, організацій та постатей. Тексти дослідників супроводжують фотографії, архівні матеріали та інтерв’ю.

Метою енциклопедії є не лише презентація цифрових копій історичних матеріалів про будівлі, організації чи постаті. Ми намагаємося їх інтегрувати в загальну мережу, щоби таким чином простежити, як пов’язання між ними впливають на їхній характер та присутність в ширшому контексті міста.

За допомогою цифрових інструментів ми намагаємося поєднати історію окремого будинку із ширшим контекстом містобудівних та архітектурних ідей, присутніх у місті. Водночас це спосіб пов’язати історію будівлі з історіями його мешканців, що дозволяє розповісти як про різні аспекти життя у місті (міські професії, соціальні аспекти, повсякдення тощо), так і про ключові зміни для регіону.

Важливою є можливість навігації матеріалами проекту. Тому ми передбачили три різні способи роботи з ними:

Карта

Оскільки Інтерактивний Львів у першу чергу розповідає історію міста через місця, карта є ключовим способом роботи з матеріалами проекту. На карту нанесене розташування будівель та інших споруд. Натиснувши на будь-який з маркерів, можна переглянути історію цього місця, а також пов’язаних із ним постатей, організацій, історій. Окремі простори, такі як вулиці, площі, кладовища та парки, відображені на карті периметрами, що повторюють їхні межі. Іншими маркерами на карті показані Історії — дослідницькі проекти, а також згруповані довкола певного сюжету матеріали, що супроводжують коментарі дослідників.

Пошук та фільтри.

За допомогою пошукових запитів можна переглянути матеріали, пов’язані з конкретною темою, назвою чи розташуванням. При цьому, у результатах будуть представлені тексти, в яких є присутнє ключове слово.

Панель фільтрів дозволяє згрупувати результати пошуку за певними категоріями. Наприклад, за допомогою пошукового фільтру “Архітектурні стилі” можна вибрати будівлі, що пов’язані лише з сецесією чи історизмом. Якщо ж вас цікавитимуть лише громадські будівлі, що були побудовані у цьому стилі, то, додавши цей фільтр, з-поміж декількох сотень будинків ви побачите кілька десятків тих, які відповідатимуть цьому запиту.

Зображення

Режим Зображення є ще одним способом працювати з матеріалами проекту. У цьому режимі користувач може переглядати ті ж матеріали, що й на карті, однак через їхню візуальну репрезентацію. У випадку з вибраним фільтром “Сецесія” це дозволить ознайомитися не лише з розташуванням цих будинків, а й відразу порівняти приклади сецесійної архітектури між собою.

Інтерактивний Львів, також, експериментує з цифровими інструментами аналізу та візуалізації історичних даних. Ми намагаємося працювати з форматом сторітелінгу, як зокрема, історія вулиці Богомольця чи віртуальна прогулянка єврейським Львовом. Фокус на дослідженні мереж відбувається разом зі створенням відповідного інструменту. У рамках проекту "Уявна мапа Літературного Львова +-1939" на основі спогадів ми сконструювали та візуалізували мережу, яка дозволяє простежити характер змін у літературному житті міста разом із становленням радянської влади.

Окрім цього, "Інтерактивний Львів" намагається бути онлайн-платформою для освітніх ініціатив як у Центрі міської історії (у рамках програми "Далека-Близька історія. Про 90-і в інший спосіб"), так і у співпраці з іншими академічними інституціями (Crossroads of Empire, матеріали для міждисциплінарного семінару в Університеті Стетсона (США).

Інтерактивний Львів — це колективне зусилля. Разом із працівниками Центру міської історії над проектом працює низка дослідників та авторів, перекладачів та редакторів, програмістів, дизайнерів, фотографів та усіх, хто в різний час долучався до його створення.

LIA seminar

The Lviv Interactive seminars (LIA seminars) bring together authors who work on the platform's textual content. LIA seminars have been held regularly at the Center for Urban History since 2019.

Each seminar serves as a meeting place for both the invited researchers and the Center for Urban History’s research team. At these meetings, most of the articles, descriptions, and larger projects published on the platform are discussed and reviewed (peer review).
